I'm sorry I'm responding to probably the least
important part of your post but that's all I can
address. Champ also developed a "rash" type thing
all over his back. It almost looked like red
blackheads. My vet determined it was probably
some type of seborrhea. He gave me a shampoo
called SulfOxyDex. It contains Benzoyl Peroxide
and Sulfur and has helped a lot. He told me to
bathe Champ once a week and let it sit for 5-10
minutes before rinsing. Champ is really quite
good about it. He just lies draped over my arm
until I get tired of holding him. It is
soap-free. It's helped the blackheads on his tail
too.
