Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] fish and ferrets

Hi,
Maybe someone can help me out because I can't remember where
the artical was but I believe it was in the FML but evidently
there is an organism that may infect your ferrets if they
drink aquarium water.

Hi, I have never had fish and ferrets together but one thing
you said made me worried about of your situation. If the
fish is on a "low table" I would be concerned. Ferrets LOVE
to explore anything within their reach. You should consider
moving the fish so the ferret can't get to them. I have
heard that they could get sick from playing in fish water,
not sure why though. And the fish won't be too happy if
it's bowl gets tipped over.
