I have often had the same concern when I have used the Avecon ELISA.
Ferrets just tend to have dry mouths, for the most part. I have
asked Dr. Stephon how do you know you got enough of a sample, and he
says if you swab according to directions, you have enough of a sample.

One of the nice features of the Quicktest is it has a built in check
line. When you run the test, if you don't get at least one line, you
know your sample was insufficient. I don't know if he has a check
like this built into the ELISA or not.
