I suspect this it's possibly something no one has tried. At least I
haven't heard of anyone (though I certainly am not a vet). If a
procedure or medical need is in unknown territory then all that
anyone can do is to learn from another.
Has the vet tried consulting with any of the exotics specialists at
the Animal Medical Center in NYC? Kathy Quesenberry has taken off
some time trying to get the next edition of _Ferrets, Rabbits and
Rodents_ done, but there should be other fine ones there who possibly
may have ideas.
You are right about Yahoo having problems recently; other lists are upset, too.
