You are absolutely correct on that one. Ferrets have died from flea-
bite induced anemia. I got a call from my vet one day a few years
back. They needed a ferret blood donor for a ferret that was
extremely anemic due to severe flea infestation. I rushed Beasley in
and they did the transfusion, but it was too little, too late and the
ferret died shortly after. Such a terrible way to go for something
that is so easily preventable.
