Subject: Insulinoma ferret possibly facing bilateral adrenal surger

My ferret Lucy had an ultrasound today at the vets'
because of hair loss. The ultrasound was free because
it was just installed so I let them do it, along with
drawing blood for the Tenn panel. My vet called and
said that he thinks that both adrenals are enlarged;
but admits that they are not the experts on ferret
ultrasound. I am positive she needs the surgery but
would like to hear from someone who has had a ferret
with a bilateral adrenalectomy, and also would like to
ask if both are removed, what effect this would have
on her insulinoma? Would the pred need to be
increased?
How do ferrets do after both are removed? Any advice
is appreciated.
