Subject: Enlarged Spleen
Well, I really don't know what to say.
I am kind of bummed right now. I took my ferrets in for
rabies shots today. 2 of the 3 were able to get them.
The third, Sundance, I asked the vet to exam first because I
noticed she seemed a little down lately. Nothing I could
pinpoint just a gut feeling. She seemed to be eating,
drinking and pooping fine. But she was more lethargic than
normal and seems limp alot. Has no firmness to her body like
my others do. I know she had gained weight right after I got
her in November, but seemed to have lost it. I could put this
to winter weight gain...but it seemed like more.
She examined her, said she didn't want to do Rabies yet, but
do a blood work first. She was concerned about her too.
She weighed 1.5 pounds in November, was up to almost 2 pounds
middle of January and is back down to 1.5 today. Her Temp was
102.4 - normal. She has an enlarged spleen.
I will post more when I get the blood work back on Monday.
Please keep Sundance in your thoughts.
Any ideas based on this info....I know it isn't much to go on.

BTW- she was very happy with how Casper looked.
