Yes I just read that today actually. Something about although it being effective in rabbits he didn't think it was effective in ferrets because it works based on acidity and ferrets already have acidic stomachs so if that wasn't breaking the hair down pineapple juice wouldn't either. (My version of what I read - I may not have it exactly right- but the short answer was that it wouldn't) I was there checking something else.

If memory serves I think that there is a past FML post from Bruce
Williams saying that pineapple juice does not seem to have an effect.
Could be wrong, so, please, check the archives.
