Well, It's just based on math, nothing scientific, if you're referring to my
comment. A ferret lives about 7.5 years average. A human lives about 75
years average. Divide 75 by 7.5 and you get 10. It's the same sort of
method for cats and dogs as far as I know. A fruit fly would be more like
75years:1day.
