I discussed this with my vets, and they explained their reasons
for
preferring Pepto. However, when it became difficult to administer
the Pepto, they did have me switch to Carafate. We also discussed
using Biaxin rather then Flagyl, but since I was using the pill
form,
and was not having a problem admistering it, we stayed with the
Flagyl.
I tend to use Amoxi, Carafate and Flagyl. Except for one ferret who
*likes*
Pepto - yes, it's true, she actually will lick the stuff out of the
syringe
and look for more. I have used Biaxin, and like it, except for the
cost
difference.
