Subject: YIKES!! Pulling out hair
My male ferret Tr age 5 years, is pulling his fur out around his pee-
pee and above it almost to his front legs. He has has rat tail and
the fur on his tail is growing back, finally. I have been putting
Hydrogen Peroxide on it. I know rat tail can be from stress. But
since the loss of Shiela, his mother last week actually 9 days ago,
could he be pulling out his underneath fur in a stress mourning for
her?
And now on his side he has a round red sore. Does anybody have any
idea what is going on? Do ferrets get ring worm? If so how, and is
his sister Shy-Girl at risk?
