I wouldn't worry about quantity so much as making sure he is
maintaining (or gaining) his weight. As long as his weight is good,
he's getting enough quantity of food. To calculate how much is
needed would be a very complex calculation based on type of food,
weight of ferret, probably activity level, etc. I have never learned
how to do this with wildlife and rely on the experts to tell me food
quantities (it's worth the cost of the books <g>.)

Do you have a gram scale? I have found that, for smaller animals,
gram weight is much more accurate and you can see very small gains or
losses.
