Subject: Ripley's Illness
I recently posted a problem I am having with my ferret Ripley
and his thinning hind leg bones and now I have another
potential problem I need help with as I am very worried about
the little guy. He is totally depressed, will not take his
calcium in Nutri-Cal without me forcing it in him and he is
also not eating that good anymore. He has developed a cough
as the other ferrets seem to be getting colds one at a time
and I need to know what to do to get the calcium in him.
Crushing it and putting it in water and then a syringe is not
working as he shakes it all over the place, the Nutri-Cal
which he used to love he now shuns and I just do not know what
to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Rip is
one of my first ferrets I ever got and he is just too young
for all this. HELP
