Subject: ? on eye problems
I have a seven year old male ferret, Loki, who was diagnosed with
insulinoma approximately five months ago. Since then he's been on 1
ml predisone every 12 hours with no seizures. What has me worried is
starting about 2 days ago his eyes have appeared very watery and now
the membrane at the inner corner of his eyes is showing (similar to
when a cat is ill).
I have an appointment to take him into my vet tomorrow afternoon, but
can anyone tell me if this is a possible complication related to the
insulinoma? His energy level is good and it doesn't seem to be
affecting his ability to see too badly, but I'm really worried for
the little fellow. Thanks.
