Hmmm...
I've never had a ferret show actual nausea after surgery, and my vet also allows me to attend the surgeries he performs on our ferrets.
I have seen mild gagging, which I always assumed (there's that word again) was from being intubated.

I really can't say that I've ever seen a ferret that didn't gag at
least a time or two when waking up from Iso. Is the gagging perhaps
just a response to the intubation rather than the anesthetic?
