Something else to consider in cooling your ferrets - your car. Where I live
(Southeastern Virginia) most cars are equipped with a/c. One of our out of
electricity plans is to run the cars with the a/c going and place the ferrets
in carriers inside. You can run the cars for an hour or two at idle to help
keep them cool.
We also have a generator that will run our fridge, a TV and a room a/c unit.
Should we ever lose power for any period of time, the futon mattress goes in
the ferret room and we sleep in with the ferrets in a/c.
Just a thought.
