I've never heard of it. My favorite heartworm preventative is a
concoction my vet mixes up according to instructions we found in one of
my ferret vet books. Just 0.3 ml of 1% ivermectin mixed with 30 ml of
proplyene glycol. I give 0.1 ml per pound of ferret once a month. It's
cheap at $6 per bottle which last my three longer than the 2 year shelf
life and my ferrets don't mind taking it.
