The ferret I just lost died of severe dehydration. Her body just
started to shut down. It might have been a result of Distemper but no
one really knows. My Mom has a very bad flu bug right now, she is
normally never sick. I am now wondering about this and if my little
one caught this flu. Friday morning she was running around the house
as normal. Saturday she would not come out to play and she died
Sunday. It went so very fast. She was very small. Only 1 pound after
I fattened her up. The doctor mentioned her rib cage area was really
small and thought that odd. She also had a prolapsed rectum along
with a high rod count. This could of been the problem.
