VPI now has insurance on ferrets..I have already signed up for it and
have a claim pending...I really don't understand it but if it at
least pays for an adrenal surgery I will have invested my money
wisely. If interested go to: petinsurance.com and ferrets if I can
remember right is under Avian and Exotic Pet go figure but at least
ferrets are listed... I paid $156.00 for a year for 1 ferret...you
get a small discount the more ferrets you sign up but it really
doesn't count for much...I have heard that some ferrets have been
refused and some accepted under the same roof...probably if they see
the ferret is old they may not want to take the risk as opposed to a
ferret that is still young..I just wish I had my first claim settled
so I can share if it really is worth it..I submitted it 4 weeks ago
so I should be hearing back from them soon...I will post once I get
more info....
