Are you sure that he is having trouble urinating - that he isn't
emptying his bladder all the time?
I have some ferrets that feel obliged to try and go anytime they are
near a spot where another ferret has gone. If you have other
ferrets, could this be what Boris is doing?
Just a thought. From the information you gave I could not rule this
out as a possibility.
