Subject: Re: [Ferret-Health-list] Low Protein & Whipping Cream

"I read on the whipping cream box but
it just says a serving (1 T??) is 1% of the RDA
for protein."

Assuming the amount of whipping cream you are using is a small amount to
flavor the food, I see no problem with the protein content, it is mostly
sugars and fat, some protein from the cow milk- not close to the amount
in the kibble, or meats that are being fed. You can't cut out all
protein, it is more like a band aid, just trying not to overload already
weak kidneys.

Can't you just go to the senior foods, or is he real picky now? Or meat
baby food? I am not a nutritionist and do not know the exact grams of
protein you are suppose to give each day- so I am not sure how picky you
have to be with the diet.

I hope Champ feels better again, he name seems fitting.
