Subject: insulinoma and throwing up
Lori, we went through this with Yogi. The vomiting was so severe that I too
considered euthanasia. Poor Yogi had insulinoma too, had had surgery for it,
but he couldn't take prednisone because of a heart condition. I had him on
carafate every 6-8 hours, which helped but did not cure the vomiting. We
ruled out bowel obstruction. I called in an animal accupuncturist/herbalist
who's name I got by calling the local ferret rescue. This man was a
wonderful help. He taught me massage techniques and mailed me herbs for
nausea. Yogi rarely vomited after this and lived 6 more months in relative
comfort. I'll always be grateful for that.
