In the ER we clean human ears with a hydrogen peroxide cut 50% with
very warm water and a water pick (made for human teeth, it shoots a
pulsing stream) and I've seen everything from massive infection to
cockroach parts float out. I've been doing my ferts with a bulb
syringe such as you would aspirate a baby's nose with, and the same
solution and we've not yet had any sort of overgrowth. Would be
afraid to use the waterpick on a ferret who can't tell you that it
hurts as you might damage the eardrum. I wouldn't suggest straight
h202 either.
