Hi TLE, I'm not sure but I do know that when one of my ferrets was
sick with clostridium, he would do the same thing whether he was
awake or asleep. It was like his tummy hurt and he didn't want to be
uncurled. He also had vomiting and diarrhea. After a few days of
antibiotics, he went back to being the normal. I suspect that since
this guy is recovering/recovered from ECE, maybe his tummy isn't
feeling well either.

Just a thought.
