Subject: partial pancreatectomy
As some of you know, some posts are cross-posted. One i cross-posted
to the FML resulted in a reply. Now, I don't carry replies back as a
rule, but this info might help someone here a lot, so I'll just let
you know what he said and hope that he will join with more details
for you. John had an almost 6 years old ferret who also maxed out on
pred, and John DID then try the partial pancreatectomy. In his words
the results for his ferret were "nothing short of miraculous". 16
months later the ferret is still going strong. Steve and i have never
had one with a partial pancreatecomy so it was good to know that at
least one ferret did this well since it's an option we may someday
need to recall.
