Subject: supplements and insulinoma

I have just finished reading Dr.Murray's post on how sugary
treats may actually cause insulinoma. I have had two ferrets
in the past with insulinoma and would like to try everything
to avoid it. I know that when a ferret has insulinoma that
Ferretvite should not be used due to its sugar content. Is
there a risk using it when the ferret does not have
insulinoma? I have another supplement that I am using made
for ferrets that has clover honey as its first ingredient. I
know that many people have had good results with this
supplement, but could it increase the chances of insulinoma?
This supplement is meant to build the immune system. My
ferret is now 5 1/2 months old and has had a bit of a rough
start. I want to give him every chance possible.
Thank you,
Steph
