Well, it happened. The transformer outside my house was hit by lighting
a
couple of days ago and it fried several electrical thingies in the
house,
including the computers. Yes, everything was off; diddn't matter.
Apparently
the strike followed the telephone line into the house and all hell has
broken loose. Good thing I have insurance. It will take most of the week
to
fix everything.
I'll be checking email from time to time at the University, but don't
expect
early replies to any email for a while. I'll scan for really important
messages, but I just don't have a lot of time to stand in the library
and
answer lengthy posts.
The G4 and Imac are already in the MacLand ICU being repaired. I should
be
back online in a few days at best and at the end of the week at worst.
Can someone forward the news of this problem to the FHL? Some people are
actually looking forward to the remaining parts of the dental/bone
series.
It will be delayed a few days.
Also, I will still be in Ohio at the show on the 24-26th. The electrical
storm won't prevent that trip.
