Thanks Alicia. And many thanks to everyone else for all the emails
of kindness, prayers and support.
This was Lexie's third rabies vac. Her mom got vaccinated too, and
didn't have a prob. I have seen some mild reactions to the rabies
vac and most times the guys are just tired afterwards and sleep it
off.
This just makes me nuts since it looked like she was over the
reaction - so really, I let my guard down and I should have checked
her sometime over night and possibly could have done something sooner.
I will never give a fervac shot without pretreatment, so I guess I
will be doing pretreats with the imrab shot too.
My other concern is if Hussy should ever get another rabies vac?
Comments from some of the vets here would be appreciated.
