Diarrhea-Questions/thoughts

Rice water for some reason many times works better then many
medications for firming up stools (caution when pancreatic problems
exist, of course). You know the drill: cook rice (regular, NOT
instant since the instant won't release a lot of starch) in too much
water and put that water in with baby food/a/d/Nutrical - whatever,
as you find is best for individual.

*****You mention, though, that she held off defecating for SEVEN
HOURS after eating and then had markedly loose stools. Was there a
clump of hardened and overly dried stool in front of the loose? This
is seen with some human intestinal illnesses, and also with the use
of opiates and some other meds in humans.*****

Is the location of the bleeding known? If she is alternating between
overly dry and loose stools that irritation itself can cause bleeding.
