Subject: Xena's icky foot
Hi, all! I took my five year old sprite, Xena, to the vet yesterday
because she was dragging/not using her right hind leg and it was
swollen. The vet x-rayed and found no break, but an infection presumably
from a scratch or bite. Clavamox was prescribed 2xday, .2 cc. Today the
joint above the foot (what I assume would be the "ankle") is an angry red
and she feels really poorly. Surprisingly, no fever, though.
I'm worried. Will the clavamox kick this? I don't want her getting septic!
