Subject: hairball question

I cannot get my ferrets to take the hairball remedy, I just
saw on TV that you can give your cat a little butter and it
works the same way. Will butter hurt a ferret? I haven't tried
it yet, but I'm ready for anything, they really need something
to help get rid of hairballs.
