Subject: another possible reason for fever

When my late 6.5 year old Slinky had a persistent fever for three
weeks,my vet tried three different antibiotics to no avail. I elected
for an exploratory. His spleen was a bit enlarged, so my vet removed
that. His temperature immediately returned to normal and remained there
until his death at 7.5 from kidney failure.
