Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] hairball question
Vaseline also works and doesn't have a flavor. Mine readily
lick it from my finger. I have to use Vaseline as 2 of mine
have insulinoma and all the laxatives/hairball medications
that I have seen contain sugar.
Give the Vaseline a try and see if they'll eat it.

I cannot get my ferrets to take the hairball remedy, I just
saw on TV that you can give your cat a little butter and it
works the same way. Will butter hurt a ferret? I haven't
tried it yet, but I'm ready for anything, they really need
something to help get rid of hairballs.
