I can't tell you what's wrong (your guess on urine soaking sounds
pretty good to me if it's wet rather than oily), but I can tell you
that ferrets don't sweat, so it seems unlikely that it's anything
like that. Even if he does keep his belly off the surface when he's
urinating, urinary incontinence at other times may be the cause of
the wet belly. I don't know what medical conditions would cause
this, though an enlarged prostate can contribute to dribbling.
