Subject: rear leg weakness after surgery-when does it subside?
Hello-
My 2.5 year old ferret just had surgery for insulinoma three days
ago. He also had his left adrenal removed. Prior to the surgery, Bo
had very weak hind legs. I know that this is a common symptom of
insulinoma but I was wondering if anyone knows how long, on average,
it takes for the symptoms to go away or at least to lessen. Also,
are there any suggestions for speeding up recovery? Bo seems to want
to walk around and check things out but he gets too tired. He is
also still eating his kibble on his own every few hours. Should I
supplement him with feedings of duck soup? Thanks for any
suggestions or thoughts. Ü
