I'm just going from memory, but it seems to me that a very well known
ferret vet said in an article that up to 70% of all ferrets will
develop adrenal disease. I won't mention the vet's name because I'm
not sure of the numbers and don't want to attribute something to him
which is not accurate.
This sounds like a reasonable estimate to me. 100% of my current
ferrets have or have had adrenal disease. Only one of my ferrets, my
first one, never developed adrenal disease or insulinoma. My number
of ferrets is WAY too small to say that it even comes close to
representing all the ferrets in the U.S. I'll look for that article
and post a quote when/if I find it.
