Thanks Mike, that is scary as it's not a disease we see much
of here in the UK but it seems to be starting to show up. OK a
lot of ferret diseases were not picked up years back but I
think furless ferrets would have been noticed. Some of the
cases are outdoor ferrets kept under natural light so that's
my theory down the drain. A point was made to me at a show
this year by a small breeder about another's ferrets ( third
generation kibble fed and he is starting to see problems ) I
never feed just dry food to breeding jills or any to young
kits but I am lucky in being able to easily get whole carcase
to feed. I do feed what I consider a good dry food J.W. but
what do I really know about dry food and do the food
manufacturers know what is supplied to them to make the ferret
food. Even the best ferret food manufacturers only batch test
ingredients supplied to them and they all claim theirs is the
best food going.
