While fur loss on only the tail could be a very early indicator of
other problems to come, it often is simply a dermal difficulty. Make
sure there are no parasites that need to be gotten rid of and no
fungal infections; if not, then there are many OTC products which get
fine results. We like a peroxide shampoo our vets sell, but others
have their own preferences which sound just as effective.
