( If you review the Journal of American Veterinary Medicine
from last year you
will find an article that was published by a group from Europe
that
Statistically evaluated the incidence of adrenal disease in
ferrets in their )

I thought that study referred to the different rates of
Adrenal between late and early neutering and not to the
different rates between US and European ferrets as a whole.

I deal with around 500 to 600 ferrets a year and have never
seen the typical hair loss pattern, our club vet must see many
more ferrets and when I asked him about Adrenal in Jan. he
gave the normal UK vet answer ( I've read about it but never
seen it. )
I in the last 37 years I must have handled over 10,000 ferrets
and if Adrenal is common in the UK I think even as a lay
person I would have noticed it by now. I do know of one ferret
that goes bald every summer these days, she is mine and well
over 12 years old, she might have Adrenal Disease.
