Subject: Re: IBD and Imuran

Trish,

I think the dosage is right (I wasn't familiar with the "qd"
abbreviation so I had to look that one up!). Lisa's observations are
also what I've seen.

Could it be that Muf also has insulinoma which is causing him to be
unsteady? If so, the pred could have been helping the insulinoma
which the Imuran wouldn't do.

You might try some follow up blood work since Imuran is pretty potent
stuff and may be having some undesirable side effects for Muf. I have
one ferret that has bloody diarrhea (was almost every 6 weeks like
clockwork but doing better on a stronger dose of Imuran) so I know
how scarey it can be to see bloody stools.

Let us know what you find.
