Perhaps nothing. What if there is a viral trigger that causes some
form of endocrinological problem that might set the stage for either?
There is too little known to know if we do contribute to either
medical problem in some way. It may be that we do, and pet
hypotheses abound (I have my own, but that is all that they are --
including the idea of viral trigger, of total darkness having use,
of...). Till folks know for sure all that anyone of us can do is to
do those things we are able to try safely, and not feel guilty for
what we have no way of knowing or perhaps even of controlling. We
just have to accept that what we have are only guesses when those are
all that any of us have.
