There are lots of studies that show we are over vaccinating
animals and that we should vaccinate less often, I can
remember when we only vaccinated dogs every 5 years, why do we
now do it every year. In the UK we are lucky in that we do not
have rabies but I have seen bad reactions to the distemper
vaccinations in some of my dogs. With distemper rare in my
area I will give my ferret vaccinations a miss until I hear of
a distemper case in my area.
