Subject: Argh! Right back into heat!
You may remember my writing about 2 1/2 months ago about a 5 month old
jill, Cassie, who decided to come into heat. I decided to get a hormone
shot for her, she came out of heat, did the false pregnancy thing, and for
the last couple weeks was in "mommy-mode" driving everyone nuts.
A couple days ago Cassie seemed to be going back to normal, playing again,
and not being so obsessive or over-protective. Ah good I thought, glad
that's over. Now all we have to do is go through a couple weeks of
mommyness with sister Andi, who is 3 weeks behind.
So imagine my chagrin when I flipped Cassie over this morning to tickle her
tummy, and BINGO! swollen vulva!
So it's back to the vet, this time for the surgeon's knife! At least she is
almost 8 months old now.
