Great point, here. I recommend waiting a *minimum* of an hour after
vaccinations at the vet's office. I learned that the hard way. I waited 45
minutes a year and a half ago after Adric's rabies shot and took off with what
I thought was a happy, healthy ferret. 10 minutes later I pulled a U-turn in
the middle of a major road and sped off to the emergency clinic. I had never
seen a reaction before that, and I was quite frightened by what I was seeing.

I agree that there is no way you can tell who is going to react, but my vet
still doesn't believe in premedicating the ones with no history. Considering
what he's done for my ferts, I tend to trust his judgement.

I should point out that was done only for an extremely severe (as in life
threatening) reaction the previous year.
