Russ and all, for what it's worth, I've used ivermectin
both ways- in the ear and subq, and have actually had
better luck putting it in the ear. I also use a drop at
the base of the tail if they have what appear to be
blackheads (in my experience these often turn out to be
mites in the tail.)
And you can purchase Ivermectin from Jeffers or another
pet supplier. It is formulated for cattle, and is quite
expensive, but if you have a lot of ferrets it's worth it.
And it is good for a LONG time...
Of course I am completely convinced that earmites are
immortal, and it's them that are going to take over the
world, not the cockroaches! <vbg>
