Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] Re: black and tarry stool

Hi Maureen,
A black and tarry stool is usually a sign on internal bleeding
and it would be wise of you to get Quasi to the vet asap.
Good luck,
Steve

My one and a half year old ferret - Quasi is pooping black
and tarry
stool with no other symptoms of ulcers. He also is lying
down - or
flat ferreting a lot. Otherwise, he is playing and eating
without
problems. Should I be worried?
