Subject: Swollen vulva - incomplete spay
My ferret Ruby started getting a swollen vulva in June this year, she was
only 8 months old, and was showing no signs of adrenal (and still isn't). My
vet did surgery August 2nd to remove the left over tissue (we know she was
spayed - she's a Marshall's ferret). Problem is, her vulva is still swollen.
Should it take this long for it to go down? Do I need to see my new vet? I
stopped going to the one that did the surgery because of horror stories from
other reputable vets in our area. Do I have to worry about her getting
anemic? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
