I use Neosporin for things like that. I don't know if the two you
mentioned are basically the same thing or not. My vet recommends
keeping them occupied for at least 5 minutes to give it time to be
absorbed a little before they lick at it. I don't believe licking
neosporin in the amount that is used would be harmful, though it sure
doesn't help the sore any.
