Take him to the vet and get medicine, either an infection or injury-
I would bet on ear mites. If that is so, vet can look under microscope,
you will need to treat all cats, ferrets, etc and wash all bedding.
But it is quite common, so no biggie if treated.

Don't wait too long, they can get worse and the ear swells up, and
this is harder to treat, not to mention painful.
