There is a lot of information in the Merck Veterinary Manual about
this fungal infection if you want to read it, your vet. probably has
the book. I have encountered this type of fungal infection before but
it to was diagnosed upon necropsy. On a better note -- I knew of a
ferret (was at my vet. hosp.) that had the infection and with
aggressive treatment, was cured. If your vet. wants to consult with
mine, then e-mail me directly and I'll give you the info.
